In today’s market it’s critical to be an informed customer to avoid paying twice as much as retail. Furniture can be very very overpriced in some local large furniture stores (R&F Ashley, lazy boy, etc) that claim to have a “sale” every month. Beware as their markup is as much as 100%.—- Yes 100%
I would not hesitate recommending Bob's Furniture in Wilkes Barre, PA to all of my family and friends. I can not say the same thing about Guardian Protection.
Bob’s is a total scam! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE! my husband and I purchased dressers in April 2017, shortly thereafter we had an issue with the drawer falling completely down. We thought we were lucky that we bought bobs goof proof.... so we called and they sent a tech out to service it. I believe his name was rich, short kind of heavy set man... used my bathroom for about 10 minutes then barely looked at my dresser before saying it was our fault because our floors were uneven... he said to get plywood and put it under my dresser and it should rectify the issue. Now none of my other drawers had this issue and I was skeptical of his opinion but figured he’s a tech I’ll trust him... BIG MISTAKE! Plywood did not fix the issue! My husband removed all the drawers and when doing so you could clearly see the frame of the dresser bowed out, so I called bobs back through their goof proof and they said I would have to pay, when I got annoyed and asked for a manager they wouldn’t speak to me! I hung up and went through their manufacturing department instead and luckily they rectified the issue. HOWEVER the furniture IS CHEAP, you get what you pay for! And they send out that tech who doesn’t even fix the actual issue ! The goof proof is a total joke and I WILL NEVER EVER buy from bobs again. DO NOT SHOP HERE SERIOUSLY
The employees at Bob's Furniture in Wilkes Barre, PA went way beyond the call of duty to help me with some damage to my coffee table. That was damage that I caused. I submitted a claim to Guardian Protection plan and was denied coverage, without providing an adequate explanation. A store manager (Marc) corrected the problem, regardless of how Guardian had treated me. He went way beyond what was fair.
I have been a customer in the past and always had prompt friendly service. Today was the ultimate in customer service. The employee, Bob and his manager, Laura took the term ultimate service to a new level. Their regard for making their patrons happy go beyond my belief. Bob was so knowledgeable and his concern to make me happy was exemplary. I want to say thank you and that I would recommend everyone to visit this furniture store. I will be telling all my relatives. The employees care and the products take a second place to none. Thank you!
